Here is a pastel drawing I did in a workshop very recently. It's a fairly large piece, probably a 16 by 20 or 24. The size is variable because it wasn't like a manufactured piece of paper I drew on... we cut it down and we worked on sandpaper basically. oO
Anyway, it was a pretty fun drawing. I experimented with some color and got to really play around with chalk pastels for the first time. ^^
Nice color choices! You captured the literal darkness of a leafy grove without losing the calmness of the atmopshere or plunging the scene into the realm of fear. We still know the sun is shining and the water happily burbling
My eyes are drawn to the light straight ahead in the trees.
Gorgeous!
